Discover the Artistry of Handcrafted Pottery

During my MFA, I did a teaching assignment - Introduction to Ceramics. Having little experience with ceramics and pottery, I researched hand-built and clay works on the pottery wheel.

 

Two years later, I find myself fully immersed in the practice of pottery. 

 

Making pieces out of clay and experimenting with custom glazes and firing techniques has become a wonderful addition to my overall practice.

 

Knowing that the finished works become user wear and a part of people's lives is a fulfilling outcome for me as an artist.

 

The history of pottery and finding that many of the techniques used today have been in place for centuries is a homage to artists of the past continuing those traditions of art-making through pottery is another fulfilling outcome.
